"You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will be qualified to teach others."  2 Timothy 1:1-2

What is the purpose of mentoring?
The purpose of mentoring is to equip mentees to become conformed to the image of Christ and live on mission for Christ and become faith builders themselves.

What will mentoring look like?
The mentoring approach is people-centric, not curriculum-centric.  It is an ongoing dialogue led by the mentor, yet based on the unique needs and hurdles of the mentee.  Depending on the situation, an entire meeting time could be used to discuss one personal issue of the mentee.  Additionally, teaching and coaching will be offered by the mentor on numerous, relevant topics.  Some of the topics include:  prayer, worship, forgiveness, Holy Spirit, combating shame, spiritual leadership, confession of sins, moral relativism, to judge or not to judge, and many more.

How often do we meet?
Weekly or every other week, determined by the mentor and mentee.

How long are the mentoring sessions?
Usually an hour to an hour and a half.

How long does the mentoring process last?
It varies and is determined by the mentor and mentee.  It can last up to a year, but for many, it is much shorter.

How are the mentors and mentees paired?
The pairing process includes factors such as the unique needs of the mentee and the unique contributions of the mentor.  Time availability, location, compatibility are additional factors that are taken into consideration.
