The Church at Canyon Creek Preschool Ministry wants to help preschool parents disciple their children.  The documents on this page will help parents with that process.  Feel free to use these and/or pass on to others.  If you have any questions, contact Ashley Brewer.
Read these articles on Easter ideas for preschoolers and thought it's be good to share. They are simple, but fun and meaningful.
Here's a link for a cool Easter idea to do with your older preschoolers. Let me know how it goes if you try it.

Memorable Easter Object Lesson

Here's that magazine that I feel is really good to help you as you disciple your children. This issue had several good articles and activities about Easter. Pages 6-11, 16 and 31 all focused on Easter, but there are several other great articles in there too. Check them out!

HomeFront: A Spiritual Parenting Resource

Since we have about a month before Easter, try this activity with your preschooler. Talk with your child and come up with something that reminds you of Jesus. It could be a cross, the color red, a heart etc. Over the next month, look for that special something and each time you see it say, "Jesus loves us!" It'll be a great reminder about what this Easter season is truly about.
Here's a great resource...and it's free! You can get the digital magazine sent to you through your email or down load the app. Check it out and let me know what you think.

 HomeFront: A Spiritual Parenting Resource
This is a fabulous resource that Di Zimmerman shared at our discipling training last Sunday. She and Russ came up with this list of themes that should be taught to preschoolers to build their spiritual foundations. They've put corresponding Bible verses with it too. I think you'll find this a valuable resource.
Here's another resource from Di Zimmerman from Sunday's training. This one gives you specific character traits to pray for each day of the month. It is also created so that you can add your child's name into the scripture that the trait is based on. She laminated this sheet and keeps it out for her children to see so that they know that she is praying God's word for them daily. Another valuable resource!!
Here are two documents that we used on our training Sunday morning in case you weren't able to make it. On Sunday morning, we focused on how discipling your child begins with you, as parents. As parents, you are the #1 influence in their spiritual lives. I appreciate the attendance and thought it was a valuable time of teaching, encouraging and challenging. The main challenge parents left with that day was to incorporate new ways of discipling your preschooler. We tried to break it down into what you can do each day, each week and each month to disciple your child. These won't be as good as the discussion we had, but here are some documents to get you started. One has a list of ideas that you can do with your preschooler and the other one is so that you can write down what you want to focus on and place it where it would be a good reminder for you. Let me know if you have questions or need actual copies of the documents. I can get help either way. I look forward to hearing how this works for you as preschool parents.
