Benevolence Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to meet needs, primarily financial and spiritual. Many families or individuals (about 80-100 units per year) come to our church for financial assistance. They usually have emergency financial needs such as food, gas, paying their rent, utility bills, a car payment, etc.

The Minister on Call (MOC) meets one-on-one with those who request financial assistance to assess their needs and determine how much assistance our church can provide. The MOC  prays with those they meet with, and point them to additional resources. The MOC also assess other needs including the persons mental, physical, spiritual, emotional and relational health. Financial aid processing, record-keeping and assistance are administered through the Administrative Assistants at the church.

The Benevolence Fund is not part of our church budget. It is a dedicated fund that people in our church give to – to help families in need. Our members and regular attenders give, on average, approximately $20K-$25K to this fund each year.

How you can get involved

Give to the Benevolence Fund. This can be done online on our website after you set up a MyTCACC account. You can also write checks to the church and put “benevolence fund” on the check notation line.

Serve on the Servants on Standby (SOS) ministry team. Some of those we assist through benevolence have other needs that our SOS team can address, such as help with packing, moving, giving them rides, fixing things in their home, etc. To join this team, or for more information, email Missions Pastor Keith Tooley at: [email protected]
